Tae Kwon Do is a combination of various Martial Arts: Japansese Karate; Chinese Chuan Fu ( a form of Kung Fu) and Korean Tae Kyon (this is where Tae Kwon Do's legendary kicking techniques come from). Put together you have Tae Kwon Do, a self defence system with no equal in power, technique or practicality.

There are many fitness and overall health benefits to be gained from beginning Tae Kwon Do at any age. These include: Flexibility, balance, co- ordination, stamina, power, confidence, and strength.

Children who acquire self- confidence at an early age are far more likely to succeed in their adult ambitions. Tae Kwon Do is arguably the best method of instilling confidence into children and at the same time emphasises the importance of respect and discipline.

The Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain (T.A.G.B) is Britain's largest Tae Kwon Do organistaion. It is a member of the British Tae Kwon Do Council (B.T.C) which is recognised by the Sports Council as the governing body for Tae Kwon Do in the UK.
